9th Anniversary of the September 18th HWPL World Peace Summit: Pioneering Multidimensional Strategies for Global Peace

In September 2014, the world witnessed a historic event that would change the course of peace initiatives forever. The 2014 HWPL World Peace Summit, hosted by Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL), brought together leaders from diverse backgrounds, including politics, religion, women's groups, youth organizations, and the media. This summit marked a pivotal moment in the pursuit of global peace, as key agreements were signed to foster cooperation and establish concrete systems for conflict resolution and peacebuilding.

A Beacon of Hope: The 2014 HWPL World Peace Summit

The 2014 HWPL World Peace Summit served as a platform for leaders and experts to engage in critical discussions on conflict resolution, peace establishment, and mutual cooperation. The significance of this summit lies in the fact that it brought together influential figures who recognized the urgency of addressing global conflicts. These leaders, representing various sectors, gathered in Seoul, Korea, with a shared commitment to building a more peaceful world.

Landmark Agreements for Sustainable Peace

One of the most remarkable outcomes of the 2014 summit was the signing of landmark agreements that would serve as the foundation for ongoing peace efforts. These agreements covered a wide range of critical areas, including the implementation of legal instruments to ensure peace, the promotion of religious harmony, and the initiation of peace activities by both state actors and citizens.

The Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW)

The Agreement to Propose the Enactment of International Law for the Cessation of Wars and World Peace, signed during the 2014 conference, led to the creation of the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW). This declaration reaffirms major international conventions for peace, outlines effective methods for resolving modernized conflicts, and emphasizes the vital roles of nation-states and civil society in achieving lasting peace.

Legislate Peace (LP): A Global Movement

Following the establishment of the DPCW, Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light initiated the Legislate Peace (LP) project. This project is a global campaign aimed at incorporating peace into the legal framework, with the ultimate goal of building a global community founded on coexistence and harmony. LP extends its scope beyond traditional peace efforts, encompassing environmental preservation, relief efforts, education, and empowerment of women and youth.

Building Peace Through Interfaith Collaboration

In accordance with the World Alliance of Religions Agreement signed by major religious leaders worldwide, HWPL has been actively establishing and operating Peace Offices in 130 countries. These offices play a pivotal role in preventing religious disputes and fostering harmony through close dialogue and communication among different religious communities. Interfaith collaboration is essential in building a world where diverse faiths coexist peacefully.

Sustainable Peace Initiatives

HWPL's commitment to sustainable peace is evident in its various initiatives. One such initiative is the global peace education program, which instills peace values among future generations. Currently conducted in 90 countries, this program equips young minds with the knowledge and skills needed to contribute to a peaceful world.

International Peace Youth Group (IPYG)

The International Peace Youth Group (IPYG), an organization under HWPL, has formed the Youth Engagement & Peacebuilding Working group (YEPW) in collaboration with affiliated organizations in 119 countries. This initiative seeks to maintain citizen-led peace efforts and promote a culture of peace. IPYG also mediates communication between conflicting parties in disputed regions and conducts research in peace journalism and peace media networks, raising awareness of peace among citizens worldwide.

Looking to the Future: The 9th Anniversary of the September 18th HWPL World Peace Summit

As we commemorate the 9th Anniversary of the September 18th HWPL World Peace Summit in 2023, it is essential to reflect on the significant achievements of the past decade. HWPL aims to elevate the Legislate Peace (LP) project to an "LP Program" by enhancing its systematic, multidimensional, and long-term strategies. Additionally, plans to strengthen mediation between conflicting parties for dispute resolution and establish a policy discussion body for promoting a culture of peace will be discussed.

This event provides a unique opportunity for participants to engage and collaborate with global networks across various sectors. Together, we can work towards implementing strategies for each peace initiative and continue our shared journey towards a more peaceful world.

In Conclusion

The 9th Anniversary of the September 18th HWPL World Peace Summit represents a beacon of hope for global peace. The historic agreements signed in 2014 have paved the way for multifaceted peace initiatives that span legal, religious, and educational dimensions. As we celebrate this milestone, let us reaffirm our commitment to building a world where conflicts are resolved through dialogue and cooperation, and where peace is a shared aspiration of all nations and peoples.

Join us in this noble endeavor and be a part of the movement towards a more peaceful and harmonious world.

A mouse 🐭

A “mouse” was put at the top of a jar filled with grains. He was so happy to find so much food around him that no longer he felt the need to run around searching for food and now he could happily live his life. After a few days of enjoying the grains, he reached the bottom of the jar. Now he was trapped and he couldn't get out of it. He now has to solely depend upon someone to put grains in the same jar for him to survive. He also may not get the grain of his choice and he cannot choose either. Here are a few lessons to learn from this: 1) Short term pleasures can lead to long-term traps (living on benefits/furlough/spoilt by parents perhaps?). 2) If things are coming easy and you are getting comfortable, you are getting trapped into dependency. 3) When you are not using your skills, you will lose more than your skills. You lose your CHOICES and FREEDOM. 4) Freedom does not come easy but can be lost very quickly. NOTHING comes easily in life and if it comes easily, m...
