10th Annual Peace Walk in South Korea
The Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL) organization hosted its 10th annual peace walk in South Korea on September 28, 2019. The walk aimed to raise awareness about the importance of achieving world peace and to encourage people to unite in the pursuit of global harmony.
The event drew an estimated 300,000 participants from all over South Korea, including government officials, religious leaders, peace activists, and ordinary citizens. The participants walked from the Jamsil Olympic Stadium in Seoul to the nearby Han River Park, where a peace festival was held.
During the festival, the HWPL organization presented various cultural performances and speeches focused on the theme of peace. The event also included a traditional Korean martial arts demonstration, a concert featuring Korean pop stars, and a fireworks show.
The HWPL organization was founded in 2013 by Chairman Lee Man-hee, a Korean spiritual leader who has been leading an international peace movement called the “Peace One Day” campaign. The organization focuses on promoting interfaith dialogue and peace education, as well as engaging in various peace-related activities and events.
Overall, the 10th annual peace walk was a significant step in promoting the need for global peace and unity, and it is hoped that it will inspire more people to join the movement for world peace.
