Anaheim, Calif., June 7, 2023 /PRNewswire/ - Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL), an international NGO affiliated with the United Nations Economic and Social Council, is organizing a series of peace events worldwide to commemorate ten years of citizen-led peacebuilding efforts. Nine years after the peace agreement in Mindanao, Philippines Support for DPCW and desire for peace bring the Philippines together

After more than three years of pandemic, HWPL Chairman Man Hee Lee and the peace delegate finally left for their 32nd peace tour to the Philippines! It is nine years after the Mindanao Peace Agreement was signed on January 24th, 2014. How have the Philippines and Mindanao changed? In the Philippines alone, currently, there are 11 peace monuments erected and this time it was built in Manila. Various government agencies and organizations in each sector passed a resolution to establish Peace Day as a national holiday on every January 24th. In Cotabato City in Mindanao, a peace concert was held for the first time in about 50 years since the conflict broke out. Mindanao is surprisingly moving fast forward to achieving peace. 10th Annual Peace Walk in South Korea The Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL) organization hosted its 10th annual peace walk in South Korea on September 28, 2019. The walk aimed to raise awareness about the importance of achieving world peace and to encourage people to unite in the pursuit of global harmony. The event drew an estimated 300,000 participants from all over South Korea, including government officials, religious leaders, peace activists, and ordinary citizens. The participants walked from the Jamsil Olympic Stadium in Seoul to the nearby Han River Park, where a peace festival was held. Peace monuments unveiled to commemorate decade-long peace movement

BALER, Aurora — An international peace organization named Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL) celebrated the 10th Annual Commemoration of the Declaration of World Peace through a series of events across 59 countries including the Philippines for a whole month. The latest of which is the unveiling ceremony of peace monuments in Aurora State College of Technology (ASCOT) on Friday (June 2). In attendance during the unveiling was Dr. Ronald L. Adamat, Commissioner of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and founding chairman of Volunteer Individuals for Peace (VIP). The peace monuments bear the logos of ASCOT, HWPL, and VIP to serve as a reminder of their shared commitment to peacebuilding especially through education. HWPL Built Peace Monument in Zambia!

The unveiling ceremony of the HWPL Peace Monument was held on 1 March 2023 at Childhood Joy Academy in Lusaka, Zambia. Zambian youth and citizens who yearn for peace are actively participating in HWPL peace projects. The HWPL Peace Monument was built at Childhood Joy Academy, a school that teaches HWPL’s Peace Education. Childhood Joy Academy has been teaching HWPL’s Peace Education for three years after signing a peace education MOU with HWPL. The Peace Monument, the first to be erected in Zambia, is a one-of-a-kind that was designed over several meetings. In the last stages, HWPL members from Korea also flew to Zambia to help with the construction. The construction began in November 2022 and concluded on 28 February 2023. Renu Saran, the headteacher at Childhood Joy Academy, stated that the HWPL Peace Monument was erected with the hope that students will always remember peace and put it into practice so that the culture of peace could be spread to everyone.
