Institutionalizing Peace: Designing Collective Action to Bring Peace as a Culture and Norm

o address the current threats to life and stability posed by wars and conflicts, HWPL's 9th Annual Commemoration of the Declaration of World Peace was held online on May 25th, 2022. The event gathered 3,000 participants who represented various sectors including politics, religion, academia, media, and civil society. The theme of the event was "Institutionalizing Peace: Realizing the Collective Will for Peace," and it showcased the progress of international cooperation aimed at achieving sustainable peace through legal instruments.   Today marks the 9th anniversary of HWPL’s Declaration of World Peace. A warm greeting to the family of peace around the world. Do you remember the commemoration held in front of the Peace Gate in Korea nine years ago? I have been calling for peace and the cessation of wars, making trips around the globe 31 times and speaking to world leaders, supreme justices, chairs of national assemblies, and religious leaders. This was the day the Declaration of World Peace was proclaimed by HWPL for the first time. I am sure you all remember. It was May 25. Today is May 25. It was today nine years ago. Ulaanbaatar Peace Forum: National Pride and the Great Legacy of Peace

The 'Ulaanbaatar Peace Forum: National Pride and the Great Legacy of Peace' took place in Mongolia on June 21. Those who advocate for peace shared the successful outcomes of HWPL's peace projects and committed to further growth. #PeaceForum #Mongolia #HWPL #NationalPride #GreatLegacyOfPeace   The event was attended by 400 people, including Oyunbaatar Tserendash, former Deputy Prime Minister of Mongolia; Sh. Sukhbaatar and Darjaa Nasanjargal, two former Ministers of the Ministry of Food, Agriculture, and Industry; and Norjmaa Togtokh and Chilkhaajav Avdai, two former Members of Parliament. HWPL is a non-governmental organization registered with the Seoul Metropolitan Government of the Republic of Korea. It is associated with the UN Department of Global Communications (DGC) and in Special Consultative Status with the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). In keeping with the spirit of the Declaration of World Peace, that HWPL aims to achieve world peace through the heavenly culture and restore the global community with light, we are carrying out peace activities all across the world. With our partner group, the International Women’s Peace Group (IWPG), and our affiliate group, the International Peace Youth Group (IPYG), HWPL is leading an international peace movement with leaders in all walks of life without being limited by national, cultural, or ideological boundaries. HWPL celebrates International Peace Day

On September 22nd, Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL) hosted the eighth Anniversary of the September 18th HWPL World Peace Summit at the Table Bay Hotel in Cape Town, South Africa. The event was held under the theme “Building a Culture of Peace as Global Citizens”. Over 500 participants joined the hybrid event reflecting on the collaborative strides toward sustainable peace in Southern Africa as the global community has yet to overcome the COVID-19 pandemic and faces other threats caused by the Russian-Ukraine conflict. The event opened with a congratulatory address by the City of Cape Town’s Portfolio Committee on Safety and Security chairperson, Councillor Mzwakhe Nqavashe, saying that The City of Cape Town is committed to promoting peace and a society free from constant fear and anxiety.
